George Eustice has been appointed environment secretary by prime minister Boris Johnson after a reshuffle of his cabinet last week.

Eustice (pictured), who has had roles within Defra since 2013, was farming minister from 2015 to 2019. He also served as a member of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee (EFRACom) from 2010 to 2013.
