The shining stars of the veterinary profession were recognised on 28 May at the annual Petplan Veterinary Awards, which this year were held virtually on the insurer’s Facebook page.

The awards, which were hosted by author and TV presenter Gyles Brandreth, celebrated the most outstanding vets, vet nurses, practices, practice managers and support staff who were nominated by their colleagues and clients for continually going the extra mile to keep the nation’s pets healthy.

Lindsay Henry was this year’s Vet of the Year. Henry has been at Kessock Equine Vets in Inverness, Scotland, for two years, and is described by her colleagues as fantastic with clients, very empathetic with their horses, with great communication skills.
