Achieve sustainable change in practice

Statistics from

A series of one-day online workshops entitled ‘Leading change in veterinary practice’ will be made available to practices during 2020. The Veterinary Management Group (VMG) has teamed up with Veterinary Defence Society (VDS) Training to offer ‘practical strategies for delivering change in the real world’.

The workshops will help vets explore their own leadership styles using personality profiling, and teach them how best to use their strengths. Common challenges faced by both leaders and their teams will be the focus of practical and interactive exercises and self-assessments.

The VMG says that, looking ahead, managing teams and the practice’s client base, in addition to facing increased financial pressures, rising consumer expectations and treatment costs will be challenging to veterinary teams.

The workshops aim to focus on fostering sustainable change, and helping teams develop the people skills needed to move forward into the new normal. The workshops will also include a coaching session.

The events will take place on 8 July, 23 September and 13 October. Register at The course fees are £120+VAT for VMG members and £155+VAT for non-members.
