Telemedicine feature added to practice management software

Veterinary practice management software company ezyVet has partnered with video communications provider Zoom to introduce a new video feature to its product.

The updated software will enable vets to use telemedicine to provide health services to clients remotely during Covid-19 while in-person appointments are not possible, the company says. It will also expand access to healthcare services for vets and clients.

Vets have seen a spike in requests for telemedicine during the first quarter of 2020 and the company believes there will be a growing demand for it as clients can get advice more quickly and save time by not having to travel for an in-person appointment.

Founder and chief executive officer Hadleigh Bognuda said: ‘Our customers are dedicated to caring for animals despite the challenges of Covid-19...we believe telemedicine will allow them to extend their business beyond the walls of their veterinary practice.’
