Educating the public about horse welfare

Animal charity Blue Cross has teamed up with top event rider Mary King to teach young people about horse welfare.

King (pictured), who is the first Blue Cross ‘equine ambassador’, stars in a new video showcasing the charity’s dedication to helping improve the current horse welfare crisis.

The video is part of Blue Cross’ education programme, which is focused on responsible pet ownership as a whole and aims to inspire children and young people to learn more about how to take on and care for pets appropriately.

Each year the charity’s education team reaches around 100,000 people across the UK through a network of education officers and volunteer speakers.
