Nominate now for welfare award

The Humane Slaughter Association (HSA) is inviting nominations for its 2020 Humane Slaughter Award.

The award honours individuals or organisations whose work has resulted in significant advances in the welfare of farmed livestock during transport, marketing and slaughter.

Previous winners have been recognised for their contributions to improving the welfare of food animals during transportation, improving the welfare of farmed fish at slaughter, and research into the welfare impacts of controlled atmosphere stunning.

Pledges made to tackle AMR

AnimalhealthEurope has pledged 25 measurable global actions it will take by 2025 to reduce the need for antibiotics in animals.
