Nearly two-thirds of vets worked when they didn’t feel well enough in the past year, new figures released by the BVA have shown.
The association is warning that the problem of ‘presenteeism’ – or working while sick – could have a longer-term impact on vets’ wellbeing.
Results from this spring’s BVA Voice of the Veterinary Profession survey found that 63 per cent of vets worked when they were not well, and this was most notable in locum vets and those in clinical practice.
