Improve International is launching a dentistry certificate (NCert[Dent]) for vet nurses in 2019, alongside a series of one-day CPD courses.

The new dentistry certificate is accredited by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies; it comprises six modules led by veterinary specialists Gerhard Putter, Richard Saunders and Rachel Perry. Topics have been selected to support vet nurses who want to develop their dentistry skills and also the this area of work within their practice. The course covers dental anatomy and function, dental conditions and dental procedures in dogs and cats.

The new series of one-day CPD courses cover a range of interests, including ultrasound triage for emergency patients, infection control, cardiology and feline lower urinary tract disease.
