Well done Trevor Jones (VR, 24 November 2018, pp 628-629) for stating the philosophically and historically obvious. One major aim of the control of bovine TB (bTB) is to separate the populations that carry the disease, particularly those that can also disseminate the disease. One could even consider setting up ‘cattle-free’ as well as ‘badger-free’ areas of the UK.
