Supporting students on EMS

MEDIVET has created more than 50 EMS ‘champion’ clinics and mentors within its practice network to help vet students get the most from their EMS placements.

Each champion clinic has demonstrated a commitment to training, offering the breadth of work that is of most value to vet students.

Support for students will be led by a designated ‘EMS champion’ within each clinic. These mentors will meet with each student at the start of their placement to introduce them to the practice and agree their learning objectives. Mentors will then meet students regularly during the placement to monitor progress and provide feedback and support.
