In the article suggesting growing numbers of cascade violations by veterinary surgeons (VR, 8 September, vol 183, p 282), no evidence is presented to justify this claim. Sales data do not detail the judgements we all make on a daily basis when facing a paucity of licensed veterinary medicines and certainly does not justify negative headlines.
