Richard Elders has joined London Vet Specialists (LVS). A graduate of University College Dublin, his research on mast cell tumours in dogs led to an MSc in clinical oncology and he went on to complete a PhD on mast cell tumours at the Royal Veterinary College in 2008. He works with referral oncology patients and clients two days a week at LVS and currently spends the rest of his working week as an oncology consultant for IDEXX Laboratories. From February 2018, he will combine his role at LVS alongside one at another Linnaeus Group practice in Southfields, Laindon, Essex.

David Leicester has joined RCVS Council as an elected member, following the tragic death of newly elected Council member Sarah Brown. He has 20 years’ experience working in practice in clinical and training roles, as an assistant and as a manager in general practice and out-of-hours work with new graduates and specialists. He has a passion for emergency and critical care medicine and the development of evidence-based veterinary medicine. He is enrolled on the BSAVA’s PGCertECC and is head of clinical intelligence at Vets Now.
