Grant aid for CCTV in Welsh abattoirs

Funding to help smaller slaughterhouses in Wales install or upgrade CCTV monitoring systems is being made available by the Welsh government.

Lesley Griffiths, cabinet secretary for energy, planning and rural affairs in Wales, announced last week that a £1.1 million grant aid package would be launched later this year to support small and medium-sized slaughterhouses in improving their resilience and their ability to continue to provide slaughtering facilities.
