Pamplona’s ‘running with the bulls’ met with fierce opposition

AROUND 100 near-naked protestors stood up for animal rights last week as they campaigned against bull running and bull fighting in Spain.

The supporters of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and AnimaNaturalis stripped down to black underwear and emblazoned themselves with painted messages such as ‘stop bull fighting’ to protest against the annual San Fermin festival, famous for its ‘running of the bulls’ event, which is held in Pamplona, Spain, every year.
