THE BVA is correct to use ‘caution’ in its welcome for Mrs May's recent speech setting out her priorities for Brexit (VR, January 28, 2017, vol 180, p 81), and it could be argued that a neutral form of acknowledgement, such as ‘noted’ rather than ‘welcomed’ would be more suitable for such a politically charged topic.
