A VETERINARY surgeon who provides treatment for pets belonging to people sleeping rough on the streets of London is keen for the wider veterinary community to get involved with a campaign to ‘do something for nothing’.

Jade Statt set up Street Vet after being inspired by the #DoSomethingForNothing campaign begun by barber Josh Coombes 18 months ago. She accompanies Mr Coombes around London's streets and, while he offers free haircuts for homeless people, she checks over their pets. Her work is being supported by the Blue Cross, which provides her with pain relief medication, antibiotics and preventive treatments for use during her rounds.
