LORD Soulsby, distinguished vet and One Health pioneer, died this week, aged 90.
After weeks of deteriorating health, he passed away on Monday morning with his daughter by his side.
Lawson Soulsby began his veterinary career in private practice before moving into academia. After obtaining a PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 1952, he went on to take up lectureships at Bristol and Cambridge universities before becoming professor of parasitology and chairman of the department of pathobiology at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine in 1964.
