Practice standards scheme
‘Outstanding’ practices recognised

Statistics from

EIGHTEEN practices that have been deemed ‘outstanding’ in one or more accreditation categories of the RCVS's Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) were recognised at a ceremony held in Telford on October 7 during this year's British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) congress. The ceremony also recognised the vital role that veterinary nurses play in achieving RCVS accreditation.

The RCVS relaunched the PSS in November last year. The new scheme has a modular structure and offers a range of optional awards to allow practices to demonstrate to clients the areas in which they excel.

Jacqui Molyneux, chair of the RCVS Practice Standards Group, whose own practice, the Prince Bishop Veterinary Hospital near Durham, received six outstanding awards in small animal practice categories, said she was very proud to be introducing the reception at the congress: ‘I'm proud of all those who worked so hard on the Practice Standards Group …
