Insurer calls for clearer labelling of pet treats

PET insurance provider Direct Line is calling for clearer labelling of treats for dogs and cats to better inform owners about what they are feeding their pets. Research by the company has shown that, on a gram-for-gram basis, many dog and cat treats have a calorie content similar to popular fast food items.
