IN a further tribute to Angus Campbell David Bayvel (VR, May 2, 2015, vol 176, p 467), John E. Cooper and Margaret E. Cooper write: In their excellent obituary to David Bayvel, Judy MacArthur Clark and her colleagues paint an accurate and immediately recognisable picture of a man who not only contributed much to animal welfare but was modest, generous and kind. We can echo their sentiments from our meetings and lectures with David on a number of occasions, in particular on our visits to New Zealand. They did, however, say little about his educational background other than that he ‘received his degrees from both Glasgow and Edinburgh universities’.
