Truly international turnout at this year's Crufts

Statistics from

ALMOST 3000 dogs from overseas travelled to Birmingham last week to compete in the 2015 Crufts dog show, a 13 per cent increase compared with 2014.

Held at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre from March 5 to 8, the show attracted 21,474 competing dogs from 45 different countries. Some 2995 dogs came from countries other than the UK, with three travelling from Australia, one from Thailand and one from Brazil. Five of the seven group winners that competed for the Best in Show title were overseas dogs, and the winner, a Scottish terrier, Champion Mcvan's to Russia with Love (otherwise known as Knopa), came from Russia.
