Tailored treatment and monitoring key to tackling ketosis in dairy cows

‘KETOSIS in dairy cattle can be conquered.’ This was the key message delivered during a whistle-stop tour across Europe last month by Todd Duffield, of the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph in Canada, and Wayne Shewfelt, a Canadian veterinarian and diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners specialising in dairy practice.
