VERY few data exist on the prevalence of macrocyclic lactone (ML) resistance in the UK. This is due in part to the lack of testing carried out, but is exacerbated by the lack of an in vitro test, which means that the only way we can reliably confirm resistance is by conducting a faecal egg count reduction test (FECRT).
