THE BVA/Kennel Club Canine Health Schemes are pleased to announce that the fees for the Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Schemes and the Eye Scheme have been frozen at 2011 rates for 2012.
BVA/KC Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Schemes
The fees in respect of the Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Schemes are shown in Table 1.
From January 1, 2012, the Chief Scrutineer for the Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Schemes will be Mrs Ruth Dennis, MA, VetMB, DVR, DipECVDI, MRCVS.
BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme
The fees in respect of the Eye Scheme are shown in Table 2.
As of January 1, 2012, the following breeds and conditions will be added to Schedule A of the Eye Scheme:
■ Bichon frise – Hereditary cataract
■ Gordon setter – Generalised progressive retinal atrophy
The results from breeds on Schedule A are recorded and published by the Kennel Club.
The following breed and condition will be added to Schedule B (under investigation):
■ Border collie – Goniodysgenesis
BVA/KC Chiari-like malformation/Syringomyelia (CM/SM) Scheme
The new BVA/KC Chiari-like malformation/Syringomyelia (CM/SM) Scheme will launch in January 2012. Full details will be posted shortly on the BVA website at www.bva.co.uk/chs, and procedure notes and submission certificates will be available from the CHS office, telephone 020 7908 6380.
The fees in respect of the CM/SM Scheme are shown in Table 3.
