A new body that aims to help join up local and national thinking on cattle health and welfare throughout the uk was described to delegates attending the annual congress of the British Cattle Veterinary Association, held in Southport from November 17 to 19. Other matters discussed included the rcvs's plans for a professional development phase and the impact of new European food hygiene regulations.
