Awards were presented last week at RCVS Day to recognise achievements in the veterinary profession.
The Queen’s Medal Award, the highest honour the RCVS can bestow, was presented to James Barry Johnson (pictured left). Johnson has made noteworthy contributions to the world of equine welfare. He was chairman of World Horse Welfare and was the designated vet for the Lancashire Police Mounted Branch.
