RVC calls for cat, dog and horse blood donors

The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) has launched a drive to recruit animal blood donors. It is appealing to owners of dogs, cats and horses to donate blood and become ‘life-saving heroes’.

The RVC operates two blood donation services – one for dogs and cats at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (QMHA), and one for horses at the RVC Equine Referral Hospital.

Animals are tested in advance for their suitability and receive full health checks with every visit.
