THE list of essential medicines for horses should be extended by seven substances, including phenylbutazone.
That is the call from the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) and the Federation of European Equine Veterinary Associations (FEEVA). In a joint position paper to the FVE general assembly earlier this month, they have urged the European Commission to approve the extension.
