Pig sector reassesses its highest priority antibiotics

THE British pig sector is to limit the use of critically important antibiotics in line with the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Industry body Responsible Use of Medicines in Agriculture Alliance (RUMA) and the Pig Veterinary Society (PVS) have signalled adoption of the agency's critical list by minimising last-resort antibiotic use in their guidelines.
