Many vets make an early career choice

Statistics from

FIGURES released by the BVA to mark this year's World Veterinary Day suggest that almost half of vets working in the UK today had decided on their chosen career while still at primary school.

Forty-six per cent of respondents to a recent Voice of the Veterinary Profession survey said they had resolved to become a vet at a young age, with 28 per cent saying that they had decided as young as eight years old.
