THE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has reprimanded a Slough veterinary surgeon after finding he had failed to provide adequate care for a dog in his care.
Rahul Shah faced a three-part charge relating to the care of a Newfoundland dog which he had castrated. He was charged with discharging the dog when it was not in a fit state to be discharged; failing to advise the owner that the dog should receive veterinary care as a matter of urgency after she had alerted him to concerns about the dog's condition; and failing to ensure that the owner was fully informed as to out-of-hours care for the dog.
