THE BVA and RCVS report that they received more than 80 applications from candidates keen to join a new Vet Futures Action Group, which has been set up to take forward the ambitions and recommendations in the recently published Vet Futures report (VR, November 21, 2015, vol 177, pp 502, 503-504). Seven veterinary surgeons and a veterinary nurse have been appointed to the group, where they will be joined by the presidents and junior vice-presidents of the BVA and RCVS and a coopted veterinary student.
The Vet Futures project sought to identify the current challenges facing the veterinary profession and develop a strategy for the future. The members of the action group were selected for their mix of experience and expertise across the ambitions …
