Second case of cervid spongiform encephalopathy reported in Norway

THE Norwegian Veterinary Institute has reported a case of prion disease affecting a free-ranging wild elk. This is the second case to be reported in Norway, following the detection of prion disease in a wild reindeer earlier this year.
