THE winners of this year's Petplan Veterinary Awards were announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on April 7.

Petplan says that a record-breaking total of 21,000 nominations were received for this year's awards, noting that the awards highlight the ‘fantastic work that goes on in practices on a daily basis helping keep pets healthy and owners happy’.

This year, Richard Williams of the Vale Veterinary Centre in Barry, was named as Vet of the Year.
