Zoetis has launched Simparica, an oral medication containing the active ingredient sarolaner, for the treatment of flea, tick and mite infestations on dogs. The product is given monthly and is licensed for use in dogs from eight weeks of age for the treatment of Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis, Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes hexagonus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Sarcoptes scabiei.
