Animal health law – one vote from approval

MEMBERS of the European Parliament's Agriculture Committee voted unanimously to adopt the new European ‘animal health law’ at their meeting on February 23. The text approved by the MEPs on the committee now needs to be endorsed by the Parliament as a whole but, once agreed and published in the EU's Official Journal, the new legislation will come into force.
