THE Society for Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) reports that the results of its fee survey for 2015 show wide variations in the fees charged between different practices and ‘enormous scope for practices to increase their profitability’.
In total, 355 responses were received to the survey, with the largest proportion coming from small animal practice. The SPVS says that 75.9 per cent of these reported increasing their prices over the past 12 months. The overall inflation figure was 4.09 per cent but the SPVS reports that increasing divergence is being seen between prices for routine procedures, such as vaccination (which saw increases of between 3.3 and 7.3 per cent) and other procedures, …
