THE Association for Veterinary Teaching and Research Work (AVTRW) changed the format of its annual conference this year to target early career researchers.
The conference, which took place at the Royal Veterinary College's (RVC's) Camden campus in September, aimed to give recent postdoctoral researchers and those undertaking PhDs the opportunity to present their work in oral presentations and poster sessions and network with other researchers to establish longer lasting links.
At the conference, the Selborne Award, which recognises contributions to veterinary research, was awarded to Duncan Maskell, from the University of Cambridge.
