Outbreaks of West Nile fever in France

RECENT cases of West Nile fever in horses in France, and in the Mediterranean basin, do not increase the risk of an incursion of West Nile virus (WNV) into the UK, but horse owners should be aware of the risk posed to horses travelling in these areas, the options for preventive vaccination and the clinical signs of neurological disease in horses.
