STANDARDISED guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of canine and feline epilepsy, as well as for research into the condition, have been developed by an international group of vets and scientists.
The International Veterinary Epilepsy Task Force (IVETF) was set up in 2014 by Holger Volk of the Royal Veterinary College. It comprises a group of veterinary and non-veterinary neurology specialists and non-specialists, and aims to provide the veterinary community, breeders and pet owners with independent advice on the key areas in the field of epilepsy.
