Company advocates sustainable production of affordable protein

THE rising cost of food in the UK has led to people reducing their intake of high-quality, protein-rich foods and switching to cheaper foods such as pasta and rice, according to research carried out by the pharmaceutical company Elanco Animal Health.

The company carried out a survey of 2000 adults in the UK, France, Germany and Italy in April this year as part of its ENOUGH Movement (#Feedthe9), a global food security initiative aimed at ensuring the right of consumers worldwide to have the ability to choose an affordable, high-protein meal.
