MY first reaction as a bovine practitioner on being presented with a 300-page book on bovine orthopaedics was ‘will this be relevant to me or will it have too much detail’? I was pleasantly surprised. There is no doubt that some of the information was in far greater detail than I would ever need, but the text does give plenty of useful basic information as well as being an excellent reference source for those requiring more detail.
