RESEARCH into cattle and badger TB vaccination and diagnostic tests will not be hindered by a lack of resources, the Government has said.
The assurance was given on June 25 in response to a question in the House of Lords from veterinary peer Lord Trees. Lord Trees initially asked the Government whether it intended to modify its strategy to control bovine TB in the UK in the light of the report by the Independent Expert Panel (IEP), which assessed the effectiveness, humaneness and safety of the pilot badger culls carried out in Gloucestershire and Somerset last year.
