THE Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) is encouraging all health professionals, both veterinary and medical, to be ‘vigilant and well prepared’ for an outbreak of Ebola virus in Europe.
In a statement on November 5, the FVE noted that, while the risk of the virus spreading in Europe is considered to be very low, proper contingency plans that can be implemented immediately ‘are the best answer for controlling a possible emergence of the virus and for avoiding unnecessary and unhelpful panic’.
