Consortium aims to strengthen surveillance for emerging diseases

SURVEILLANCE for emerging diseases in animals could be strengthened by the formation of a new collaborative network of veterinarians, scientists and technical specialists.

Announcing a collaboration with the Easter Bush Research Consortium (EBRC) on October 27, the pharmaceutical company Zoetis explained that the aim was to identify emerging diseases in livestock and companion animals and enhance the ability to control them.
