A FEMALE chimpanzee at Twycross Zoo has been successfully trained to remain still long enough to allow an electrocardiogram (ECG) trace to be recorded. The zoo believes this is the first time an ECG trace has been recorded in a chimpanzee without the need for general anaesthesia.
