Seal numbers reflect health of the Thames estuary

THE number of seals in the Thames estuary is on the increase, according to the results of a recent survey. Conservationists and volunteers used planes, boats and their own two feet to cover more than 4000 square kilometres of the Greater Thames Estuary over the course of the three-day survey in August.
