Vet struck off following convictions for wounding and false imprisonment

THE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has directed that the name of a veterinary surgeon, who was convicted for wounding with intent and false imprisonment, should be removed from the RCVS Register.

At a hearing on February 13, the Disciplinary Committee heard that Kumaran Kanesh had been sentenced to four restriction orders under the Mental Health Act at Kingston Crown Court in March 2013. The sentence followed an attack on a woman and child in August 2012. Following the attack, Mr Kanesh had been remanded in custody before being transferred to Broadmoor Hospital, where he remained until sentencing. The RCVS reports …
