Bill could bring benefits in the USA

THE 2014 US Farm Bill, which was signed by President Barack Obama earlier this month, contains several programmes that could benefit academic veterinary medicine, according to the Association of American Veterinary Colleges (AAVMC). The AAVMC believes that, by providing new funding streams for research in animal health, production and welfare, the new Act provides ‘multiple opportunities’ for US veterinary schools.
