Vet struck off following conviction for insurance fraud

THE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has directed that a veterinary surgeon who was convicted and imprisoned for pet insurance fraud should be removed from the RCVS Register.

Matthew Morgan was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in August last year, having been found guilty of four counts of fraud by false representation relating to bogus pet insurance claims (VR, September 7, 2014, vol 173, p 204).
